In the Mirror the Shadows of Time Disappear exhibition explores the relationship between fantasy and contemporary art. The exhibition will present artworks by seven artists throughout its duration. The invited artists participating with new works are Mariam Falaileh, Eetu Sihvonen, Joel Slotte and Timo Vaittinen. In addition, the exhibition includes works from Vantaa Art Museum’s collection artists: Pentti Kaskipuro, Hanna Nieminen, and Kaija Poijula.
The artists in the exhibition share an interest in the interfaces between everyday life and imagination, inner realities and symbolism. The works move between reality and fantasy, everyday life and mysticism, the material and the spiritual.
The exhibition delves into the boundaries between reality and fantasy, offering diverse perspectives on the core of human experience. It invites reflection on the possibilities of perception and encourages contemplation of universal questions of life and existence.
